H-1 Ahead Of The Initial Session At The South Jakarta District Court, Putri Candrawati Alami, Psychic Disorder?

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel) will hold the inaugural trial of the murder of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua alias Brigadier J with the defendant Putri Candrawati on Monday, October 17.

Ahead of the trial, Putri Candrawathi's attorney, Febri Diansyah, admitted that he did not know the condition of his client. The reason is, he has not met his client again.

Febri revealed that the last meeting with his client took place on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the Prosecutor's Detention Center.

When he was about to visit Putri the next day, Febri argued that he was no longer allowed to meet again.

"We haven't seen Mrs. Putri yet," he told reporters, Sunday, October 16.

For this, Febri admitted that he was worried about the condition of his client.

Because, according to Febri's claim, based on the examination of a psychiatrist at the Prosecutor's Detention Center, Putri is said to have a psychological disorder in accordance with a depression diagnosis.

"We have conveyed earlier, Mrs. Putri is actually willing to be detained. However, keep in mind psychological conditions as stated in the report on the results of the forensic psychological examination dated September 6, 2022," he said.

The former spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission said that in point three of the recommendations contained in the report on the results of the forensic psychological examination, his client said that in Putri's psychological condition, she was found to have symptoms of depression and acute trauma reactions.

So it is necessary to get serious treatment in order to prevent prolonged bad effects.

"It should be noted that this forensic psychological examination was requested by the National Police at the Chairperson of the Apsifor (Indonesian Forensic Psychology Association) since July and August 2022. This is one of the files that shows the psychological profile of the suspect, witness and victim. However, we are committed to cooperatively undergoing the trial process according to the specified schedule," he said.
