JAKARTA - The Police investigation team will hold a reconstruction of the riot case at the Kanjuruhan Malang Stadium next week. The goal is to ensure several things, one of which is the number of tear gas shots. "The team will also carry out reconstruction," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Saturday, October 15. The plan is that the reconstruction will be carried out on Thursday, October 20. Investigators decided to do so for the completeness of the case file. In addition, it aims to know for sure the element of negligence behind the deadly tragedy. "Yes, because we will see about how many shots were fired, then the direction of the shots, then the order of the shots, then the type of bullets used," he said. "This is all once again in the context of the evidentiary process," continued Dedi. This series of investigations were carried out on the orders of the National Police Chief, General Sigit Prabowo, who asked that this case be resolved immediately. Especially it must be transparent and prioritize scientific-based investigations. "This is the commitment of the Chief of Police, of course, this case will be resolved immediately," said Dedi. For information, in the tragedy of Kanjuruhan Malang, at least 132 people died. Some said the cause was the death toll from the shooting of tear gas by the police. Then, in this case the National Police have named six suspects. They are, the President Director of PT LIB, Akhmad Hadian Lukita, the Chairperson of Panpel Arema FC Abdul Haris, and Arema Security Officer, Suko Sutrisno. Then, the Head of Malang Police Ops Kompol Wahyu Setyo Pranoto, Head of Samapta Malang Police AKP Bambang Sidik Achmadi, and the East Java Police Mobile Brigade Company Commander AKP Hasdarman.
