JAKARTA - Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Russian natural gas supplies to Turkey were shipped in full volume, calling Ankara the most reliable partner today for natural gas shipments to Europe.

"Talking about hydrocarbon energy, I should say that our hydrocarbon delivery, including natural gas, is delivered in full volume and in accordance with your request," President Putin said while speaking with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at their meeting in Astana, Kazakhstan.

"We also provide gas transits through Turkey to European and Turkish countries turned out to be the most reliable route today for natural gas delivery to Europe," President Putin continued.

The Russian president underlined that the results were achieved "due to a firm attitude" by Turkish President Erdogan regarding the construction of natural gas pipelines in the Turkish sect.

"In working on this hub, what we can make together, of course, will also become a platform not only for supply, but also for pricing, because this is a very important problem," President Putin said, citing Daily Sabah.

"Today, these prices are very high. We can easily regulate at the normal market level, without any political nuances."

It is known that President Putin first suggested on Wednesday that Russia could create a major gas center in Turkey by diverting supplies aimed at the damaged Nord Stream underwater pipeline network.
