"Indonesia is ready to facilitate requests for bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Bali on November 15-16," said the Special Staff of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Monitoring of Dian Triansjah Djani's Priority Programs, Thursday.

He said this was related to a question regarding the statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who stated that he did not rule out a bilateral meeting of President Vladimir Putin with United States President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the G20 Summit.

"Our job as good hosts is that we will facilitate requests for bilateral meetings. As soon as there is a request for the meeting, we have prepared a bilateral meeting between heads of state," he said in a press briefing for a hybrid from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jakarta, Thursday, October 13.

"Indonesia is ready to hold the requested bilateral meeting," he said.

As previously reported, Russia is considering its leader's meeting with the President of the United States to discuss the Ukraine issue, but there has been no official proposal for such a meeting yet, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

In an interview with the '60 Minutes' program on Rossiya-1 television, Foreign Minister Lavrov said Russia was ready to consider a meeting proposal between President Vladimir Putin and President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali.

"We have said many times that we have never refused to hold a meeting. If the proposal is accepted, we will consider it," Lavrov said in response to questions about the prospects for such a meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit.

However, Foreign Minister Lavrov admits that until now there has been no serious proposal for talks on Ukraine sent by Washington.
