20 People Have Asked For Protection At LPSK Related To The Tragedy Of The Kanjuruhan Stadium

JAKARTA - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) has received 20 protection requests related to the tragedy of the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, East Java. There were 14 men and six women who asked for protection.

"Applications that have been submitted to LPSK to date have received 20 applications. Of the 20 applications, 14 of them are men and six women," said LPSK Deputy Chair Maneger Nasution during the LPSK Press Conference regarding the Malang Ferry Tragedy via the infolpsk YouTube channel in Jakarta, Thursday, October 13, reported by Antara.

"The three parties who applied for protection from LPSK were students and the rest were 18 years old or adults," he said.

"Of these 20, there are two who have been in the BAP (examination report) as witnesses. This is roughly an illustration of the applicant who has submitted an application to the LPSK to be protected," he added.

He explained a number of LPSK findings related to the situation at the Kanjuruhan Stadium on Saturday (2/10). From the findings of friends in the field, he said, LPSK did find 32 CCTV surveillance camera footage which LPSK monitored all of the cameras were relatively functioning.

"Regarding the capacity of the stadium, the capacity of the stadium, from the findings of LPSK, it can accommodate 38,054 spectators," said Nasution.

The details of this capacity are seating in the stadium as many as 23,126 seats, while the area to accommodate visitors standing is approximately 14,928 people.

Previously, Tuesday (11/10), LPSK conveyed the results of an investigation into the tragedy that killed 131 people at the Kanjuruhan Stadium to the Independent Fact Finding Joint Team (TGIPF) of the Kanjuruhan Malang Stadium at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Politics, Law and Security (Kemenkopolhukam) Jakarta.

LPSK also conveyed the findings, such as stadium conditions, chronology, victims, and other problems.
