BANYUMAS - Kemranjen Police, Banyumas Police, together with members assisted by Koramil members and community members managed to secure the perpetrators of the stabbing of census officers in Sibrama Village, Kemranjen District, Banyumas Regency, Wednesday, October 12. Banyumas Police Chief Kombes Pol Edy Suranta Sitepu through the Kemranjen Police Chief AKP Jamin, said that at around 08.40 WIB, his party received information that the perpetrator was in the Tegong River. Then the Kemranjen Police Chief together with members assisted by the Kemranjen Koramil, village officials and residents came to the location of Kali Tegong to secure the perpetrators.

"We came to the location and negotiated with the perpetrators but the perpetrators did not want to give up, so we made efforts to arrest them with the residents. And when they were secured, the perpetrator was still holding a 25 cm long kitchen knife," said the police chief in a written statement, Thursday, October 13.

The police chief further explained that the perpetrator was handcuffed and taken to the Mental Poli of the Banyumas Hospital for further investigation and knowing whether the perpetrator had a mental disorder.

"After coordinating with all parties, then we took the perpetrator to the Mental Hospital of the Banyumas Hospital for a medical examination," explained the police chief.
