BANJARNEGARA - The help of the Surya Power Plant (PLTS) Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo can begin to benefit from it. One of them is the Tanbihul Ghofilin Islamic Boarding School, Mantrianom Village, Bawang District, Banjarnegara.

The PLTS assistance, which was started in September 2022, can already operate. So that the Islamic Boarding School, which was cared for by KH Muhammad Hamzah Hasan, is now able to save 40 percent of the electricity needs per month.

The head of the Tanbihul Ghofilin Islamic Boarding School, Ahmad Muhid Dwi, said that the PLTS assistance was installed in the rooftop building structure of a high electricity supply and was able to generate 10,000 Kwh power. The power generated is used for water needs for the activities of the students.

"And, we use it to distribute water, such as pumps because there are many water sources here that we suck up for water needs for students," explained Ahmad Muhid Dwi, Wednesday, October 12.

The need for water is very important for santri activities. Starting from ablution, bathing and so on. Currently, the number of students at Tanbihul Ghofilin Islamic Boarding School reaches 2384 consisting of sons and daughters.

"The land here is not evenly distributed. So the santri dormitory is above but the activities are below. So, the existence of electricity is useful for water distribution pumps," he continued.

The PLTS assistance through the Central Java Energy and Mineral Resources Office program can produce 10,000 Kwh in two months. This means that his party has been supported by 40 percent of the costs before there is assistance.

"This means that we have been supported by 40 percent of the costs we previously paid to PLN. In one month, the payment we usually have to pay is Rp. 2.4 million to 2.6 million. Since there was a PLTS, we have only paid Rp. 1.2 million, and if the weather is clear, only Rp. 1.1 million has also been done," he explained.

From the cost of electricity, Tanhibul Ghofilin's Ponpes was able to set aside up to IDR 20 million per year.

"If we observe there is 40 percent. So for one year at least give donations to Ponpes a minimum of Rp. 10 million to Rp. 20 million. This is very much a budget collector of 40 percent. This is the government's concern for Islamic boarding school education," he added.
