JAKARTA - Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) asked cadres to win the 2024 Legislative Election (Pileg) to occupy government positions such as the era of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). This was conveyed by AHY in the inauguration of the Branch Leadership Council (DPC) and the Democratic Party's Branch Leadership Council (DPAC) throughout DKI Jakarta. "We have tried our best, hopefully the coalition will be built and in the end the Democratic Party cadres can participate as candidates in the 2024 presidential election. It is not the power we are targeting, but we want to carry change and improvement," AHY said at the Ciracas Sports Center, Tuesday, October 11. Meanwhile, at this time, he views that the community is often plagued by economic problems, including countries that continue to increase debt abroad. "Democrats are in a national government, that at that time Indonesian people lived better, lived more prosperous, poverty decreased at that time, right? Unemployment decreased at that time, now here our people live difficult lives," said AHY. "I want to take pictures of various issues that are indeed the difficulties of the people today. The first is an economy that is getting worse. How are our debts, ladies and gentlemen? Many residents pay? How are our MSMEs? How are honorary teachers? How are our workers?" AHY continued to the cadres. On the one hand, AHY admitted that he had lost while participating in the DKI Pilkada contestation in 2017. However, he took the defeat as a sign to improve himself and prepare a strategy to win the election in the future.
