JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Ahmad Riza Patria denied that there had been two cuts in the electronic money balance of TransJakarta customers after the implementation of the card scan policy when entering and leaving the bus stop (tap out).

"No one has paid twice, as far as I know it is impossible to pay twice," said Riza Patria at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, October 11, as reported by Antara.

According to him, the policy was carried out to implement an integrated transportation system.

"With this integrated system, we have to know people's journey, where did it come from, it's a very good system, integrating," said Riza.

He asked Jak Lingko and TransJakarta management to continue to improve themselves in order to provide convenience for customers.

Previously, PT Jak Lingko Indonesia as a subsidiary of BUMD DKI which integrates public transportation systems to payments, imposed a one-passenger card policy when the bus stop or non-stop (Non-BRT) came out starting Tuesday (4/10).

As a result of not being massively socialized, the policy caused long queues at a number of bus stops in Jakarta including Harmoni, Tosari to the Gatot Subroto Bustek Bustek Bustek Bus Stop which is classified as having a small room capacity.

In addition, a number of customers also complained that their balance in electronic money was cut off twice when they entered and left, even though they had previously scanned it out.

"My salary was cut off when I entered the Pejaten Bus Stop and so when I came out at the City Hall bus stop, the balance was cut off again on the first day it happened," he said.

A number of customers also submitted their complaints regarding the balance being cut twice through their Twitter social media account @PT_Transjakarta.

"Incidentally, today, I was hit twice (tap in-tap out) even though the previous day I had also tap out," said netizen Indah Permata Sari via @permatanaasariii on Wednesday (5/10).

Regarding the complaint, TransJakarta through its official Twitter account asked customers whose balances were deducted twice to contact customer services.

"My friend TiJe, if you have tapped out on the previous trip, but your balance is still cut twice on the same trip, please contact Customer Care JLI @jaklingkoindonesia (PT Jak Lingko Indonesia) at WA 0812-6000-1440," said TransJakarta via Twitter @PT_Transjakarta, Wednesday (5/10).
