UPK Officers From The Air Transport Agency 1,590 Meters Of Kubik Waste Impact Of Floods At The Manggarai Water Gate

JAKARTA - Piles of garbage that mounted at the Manggarai floodgate, Jalan Tambak, Pegangsaan Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta have been cleaned for almost 24 hours on Monday night, October 10.

"The total waste reaches approximately 1,590 cubic meters. That number is from the final results of the transportation on Monday night," said Head of UPK of the Water Manggarai Agency, Farry Andhiko when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, October 11.

Congenital garbage transportation flows using three types of small Typer trucks, large Typer and tronton trucks.

"The small typer vehicle transports 20 RIs of waste disposal, large typers as much as 40 rits and tronton 23 rits. In total there are 73 rits (disposal of waste)," he said.

Meanwhile, the garbage from the Ciliwung River will be disposed of by relay, before estuating to the final waste disposal site in Bantar Gebang, Bekasi.

"We are temporarily disposal at the Perintis Kemerdekaan. Then disposal of waste by relay and continue to the final disposal site of Bantar Gebang," he said.

Piles of wood, bamboo, plastic and household waste filled the water level at the mangorai floodgate, Jalan Tambak, Pegangsaan Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, since Monday, October 10, morning.

The garbage came as a result of being swept away by the flood from upstream during the Ciliwung river.

UPK Bandan Water Manggarai officers deployed heavy equipment of the excavator and truck type to transport waste disposal from the water due to being carried away by flood currents.
