IPW Asks Police To Check On Ferdy Sambo In The Personal Jet Gratification Case Brigadier General Hender Kurniawan

JAKARTA - Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) asked the National Police to investigate the parties involved in the alleged gratification case for the use of private jets by Brigadier General Hender Kurniawan. According to IPW, the former Head of the Propam Propam Ferdy Sambo also deserves to be inspected.

"If Bareskrim has investigated, the investigation should be comprehensive and professional. So, those who will be examined also include parties related to the initial case that occurred, namely FS," said IPW Chairman Sugeng Teguh Santoso to reporters, Monday, October 10.

The request to examine Ferdy Sambo was because in the alleged gratification case the use of the private jet became a series of premeditated murder cases of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J.

According to Sugeng, in that series of cases Brigadier General Hender Kurniawan was Ferdy Sambo's subordinate when he was the Head of the Propam Division. Thus, it is possible that there was an order from his superiors at that time, Ferdy Sambo.

"Ferdy Sambo must be questioned regarding the private jet," he said.

Sugeng also suggested that the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police should investigate.

In addition to the alleged use of the personal jet, Brigadier General Hender Kurniawan was ordered by Ferdy Sambo, as well as the source of the private jet rental fund.

Finally, regarding the use of jets, it was discussed in the assignment or left entirely to Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan.

"This is an important point to explore. Each of these deepening has implications. If the assignment is given then an SPJ (street order) is prepared with an official budget but not discussed about jets, from the service it must be a regular commercial plane," said Sugeng

Sebelumnya diberitakan, Bareskrim Polri mengusut dugaan gratifikasi penggunaan jet pribadi oleh Brigadier General Hender Kurniawan. Prosesnya, sudah ada pihak lain yang diperiksa mengenai dugaan tersebut.

"There are already (other parties being investigated, ed)," said the Director of Corruption Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Cahyono Wibowo.

During the investigation process, Brigadier General Hender Kurniawan was also questioned on Friday, October 7. The suspect's obstruction of justice in the series of the murder case of Brigadier J's premeditated murder was questioned for six hours at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters.

"Brigjen HK sudah dilakukan klarifikasi atau permintaan keterangan dalam penyelidikan terkait dugaan tindak pidana Korupsi dalam penggunaan privet jet, kata Cahyono.
