Floods And Clean Water Are Jakarta's Priority Problems That Must Be Resolved By Heru During The DKI Governor's Acting Meeting

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Gembong Warsono revealed that the two most important Jakarta problems were to be resolved as soon as possible to Heru Budi Hartono when he officially served as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta. A few days ago, the Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetrpres) was chosen by President Joko Widodo to become the Acting Governor of DKI until the 2024 General Election. The two priority issues that Gembong is referring to are flooding and clean water needs. This, according to Gembong, must be handled quickly because it interferes with the activities of the people of Jakarta directly. Meanwhile, during the leadership of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan in the last five years, Gembong assessed that these two problems had not yet been resolved. "The problem of flooding, in my opinion, should be Pak Heru's first priority scale. Then, the second priority scale is about the basic needs of Jakarta residents, about clean water networks. I think this should also be Pak Heru's priority scale in carrying out his duties as Acting Governor of DKI," said Gembong when contacted, Sunday, October 9. Meanwhile, the mechanism for handling two priority issues and other Jakarta development problems can be compiled from the results of the 2023-2026 Regional Development Draft (RPD) inventory which has been prepared by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan and the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government. When he officially becomes the Acting Governor of DKI later, Gembong said Heru had to map the Jakarta issue with guidelines from the 2023-2026 RPD. After mapping is carried out, Heru needs to develop a priority scale, such as the two problems mentioned by Gembong. "So the first thing that must be done by pj at this time is mapping Jakarta's problems, inventory, and making priority scale. The program is already in the RPD, only Mr. Heru will do what has been determined," said Gembong. As is known, Jokowi has appointed Heru Budi Hartono as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta. This was decided by Jokowi in a meeting of the Final Assessment Team (TPA) which was chaired directly by Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace, some time ago. Before being elected, there were three names of candidates for the Acting Governor of DKI proposed by the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Apart from Heru, the names of the previously proposed Acting Governor were DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary Marullah Matali and Director General of Polpum Kemendagri Bahtiar.
