Unable Official Documents, Two Border Crossers Mandated By The Indonesian-Timor Leste Pamtas Task Force

KUPANG - The Border Security Task Force (Satgas Pamtas) of the Republic of Indonesia-Timor Leste from the Battalion Unit RK 744/SYB secured two border crossers suspected of illegally crossing the Aimalirin Hamlet, North Alas Village, East Kobalima District, Malacca Regency, NTT.

The Commander of the Indonesian-Timor Leste Pamtas Task Force from the Battalion Unit RK 744/SYB Lt. Col. Inf. Yudhi Yahya said the two border crossers were secured because they did not have official documents while crossing.

"When the two residents were arrested, they did not have official documents, so the members immediately secured the two," said Yudhi.

The arrests of the two border crossers without official immigration documents were carried out when Pamtas Task Force personnel patrolled the border area between Indonesia and Timor Leste.

The two residents whose identities have not been identified have been secured at the RI-Timor Leste Ailala Pamtas Task Force Post. However, Yudhi continued, after coordinating with the Pamtas Task Force personnel, both of them were immediately transferred to the Motamasin Koki Post, Malacca Regency.

In the future, they will be handed over to the Atambua Immigration Office.

"Today it is planned to be handed over to the Atambua Immigration Office for further action," he said.

Yudhi appealed to all border crossers who want to cross in or out of the Republic of Indonesia to bring official documents and pass through the National Border Post (PLBN). This is to avoid legal processes for violators of border crossings crossing through the territory of Indonesia.
