Feeling difficult, his party appointed the State Civil Servant of the Tebing Tinggi City Government, North Sumatra, with the initials DAP as a suspect in the obstruction of justice or hindering the investigation process against the Sumardi suspect. He said that the DAP was suspected of assisting the escape of the Sumardi suspect who had been on the wanted list (DPO) since September 2022. "The DAP suspect deliberately prevented, prevented, or thwarted efforts to disburse and arrest suspect S who had been designated in the DPO," said Agustian. The arrest of the DAP was made when his party conducted a search of Sumardi's residence, which is located in Cibinong District, Bogor Regency. Sumardi is on the wanted list (DPO) after being absent from the summons of the Bogor District Attorney's Office as a suspect in a corruption case in disaster aid funds. Sumardi along with another person with the initials SS, a contract employee at BPBD in 2011-2018 was named a suspect on Thursday, July 28, 2022. Sumardi, who is a former Head of Emergency and Logistics at the Bogor Regency BPBD, and SS, is considered to have misappropriated funds worth Rp. 1.7 billion for disaster assistance sourced from Unexpected Expenditures (BTT) for the 2017 fiscal year. The aid fund worth Rp1.7 billion should have been distributed by the Bogor Regency BDBD to the public in three sub-districts, namely Cisarua, Tenjolaya and Jasinga. However, the results of the Kejari examination of witnesses, the assistance was not distributed.
