ACEH UTARA - North Aceh Police Narcotics Investigation Unit personnel arrested a member of the council and his colleague for allegedly being involved in drug abuse and drug abuse. The Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police, Kombes Winardy, said that the two perpetrators of drug abuse who were arrested had the initials MM (37) and a member of the council with the initials MA alias PM (52). "The arrest was the result of the development of the disclosure of the case carried out by the North Aceh Police Narcotics Investigation Unit. One of the perpetrators is a member of the East Aceh DPRK," said Winardy in Banda Aceh, Antara, Friday, November 7. The arrests of MM and MA alias PM took place in Paya Fever Village, Pante Bidari District, East Aceh Regency, last Wednesday. During the arrest, said Winardy, officers had seen the alleged perpetrator of the Supreme Court throwing away a cigarette box. Then, officers checked the cigarette box and found methamphetamine weighing 0.13 grams. "The two perpetrators were taken to the North Aceh Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings. The officers then took the two perpetrators for a urine examination and the results were positive for using drugs," said Winardy. Furthermore, investigators carried out an assessment procedure for the two perpetrators because there was little evidence. After coordinating with other related parties, including the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Lhokseumawe City, it was concluded that both of them were classified as addicts. "Both of them have been decided to undergo rehabilitation and recovery. Currently, both have been handed over to the Pintu Hijrah Foundation social rehabilitation institution in Ateuk Jawo Village, Banda Aceh City," said Winardy.
