Anies also gave a signal to be ready to run with the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY). "I imagine that I will meet with several administrators. God willing, this is a sign that we are ready to go together," Anies said at a press conference at the DPP Office of the Democratic Party in Menteng, Jakarta, Friday, October 7. Anies said that the desire to go along was not a desire from above, but a desire that moved from all directions. According to Anies, AHY continued the tradition built by the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) to continue to maintain democracy and enforce institutions. "We remember how in the course of government, democracy was maintained, institutions were strengthened. We see Mas AHY continuing the tradition that was built during Pak SBY's era, when the Democratic party at that time became a party that gave a dominant role. We want the tradition to maintain democracy, sportsmanship, maintain equality in all aspects," said the former Minister of Education and Culture. In today's meeting, Anies and AHY talked about how to make changes for improvement. According to him, the improvement could not have been done alone, but together with millions of residents. "That's why, gathering today is not an end. This is God willing, it will be a new beginning. But this is also not a new thing, we interact very long when Mas AHY is still on the task of the TNI, I am on campus, we have interacted. Likewise, in the future, friends, from the ranks of the Democratic Party," said Anies. From this interaction, Anies continued, intimacy and trust were built. However, he did not mention the exact plan for a duet in the 2024 presidential election.
