Schools Are Improved, MTsN Student Learning Activities 19 Implementing The PJJ System

JAKARTA - Students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 19, Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, temporarily underwent a distance learning method (PJJ) during the repair of school buildings.

"We are trying to find the nearest madrasa here, there is MAN 11 that we may do learning, but for the time being we are using the PJJ model," said Director General of Islamic Education (Pendis) of the Ministry of Religion, Muhammad Ali Ramdhani when met at MTsN 19 Pondok Labu in South Jakarta, Friday 7 October reported by Antara.

Ali explained that his party implemented the PJJ method to avoid potential further flooding that could endanger residents in schools while repairing buildings.

Regarding the repair of the MTsN 19, Ali said, there are still discussions with a number of parties, namely the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and so on.

Ali emphasized that his party immediately coordinated as quickly as possible to overcome the problems that attracted the attention of the government and various parties.

The Ministry of Religion through the Directorate of Facilities and Infrastructure continues to review locations so that improvements continue so that activities in schools can immediately run normally again.

"Actually, it is routine, so there is no thought to examine it more thoroughly. We value this as an unavoidable incident due to the overflowing flood," he said.

Heavy rains that took place on Thursday (6/10) afternoon caused water to enter the school court of MTsN 19 South Jakarta.

The school guard wall collapsed on the stage where the students used to play. As a result, three students died and two students were treated.
