TANGERANG - The Tangerang Regency Government in Banten Province has submitted an additional request for COVID-19 vaccine supply and is still waiting for a vaccine shipment from the central government. "We have made requests to the provincial and central governments, just waiting for distribution," said Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division of the Tangerang District Health Office, Sumihar Sihaloho via text message in Tangerang, Antara, Wednesday, October 5. He said that the agency submitted an additional supply request because the stock of the COVID-19 vaccine in Tangerang Regency was running low. "The stock is there, but it's thin," he said. With the available stock of COVID-19 vaccines, the Tangerang District Health Office is still opening a COVID-19 vaccination service center every Monday. However, according to him, the limited stock of COVID-19 vaccines has an impact on the implementation of vaccination services at the puskesmas. "Covid-19 vaccine services at puskesmas are now limited due to low stock (vaccine)," he said. He hopes that the agency will immediately receive additional supplies of COVID-19 vaccine so that the implementation of vaccinations for all targets can be completed immediately. According to government data, the target for COVID-19 vaccination in Tangerang Regency is around 2.8 million people. The first, second, and third doses of vaccination were recorded in a row, covering 80 percent, 67 percent, and 30 percent of the COVID-19 vaccination target in Tangerang Regency.
