Terbit Support Anies-Andika Perkasa After The NasDem Declaration, PKS: Interesting Duet

JAKARTA - The publication of support for General Andika Perkasa as a companion to the 2024 presidential candidate (candidate) promoted by the NasDem Party, Anies Baswedan. PKS considered the Anies-Andika duo quite attractive.

"An interesting duet," said PKS DPP chairman Mardani Ali Sera, Wednesday, October 5.

According to Mardani, the Anies-Andika duet is a combination of the civil-military. This duet is also considered potential because of their qualified track record.

Mardani said General Andika Perkasa had maximum experience in the military world. Meanwhile, Anies, his leadership has been tested as governor.

"General Andika has experience, military and intelligence. In some ways he is also progressive," said Mardani.

However, Mardani said, the determination of the candidate pairs is still very dynamic to this day. Apart from having to have chemistry, he said, the community will also determine the candidate according to their choice.

"Well, whether the public will choose or not. So everything is still dynamic," said Mardani.

On the one hand, the Democratic Party stated that it is still trying to find the General Chair, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) as the vice presidential candidate to accompany Anies. "It is being tried (AHY cawapres, ed)," said Deputy Bappilu DPP of the Democratic Party Kamhar Lakumani to VOI, Wednesday, October 5.

Kamhar admitted that the Democratic Party did not question NasDem carrying Anies as a presidential candidate if later his party would form a coalition with NasDem and PKS. Provided, he said, AHY became Anies' sole companion option. According to Kamhar, Anies-AHY became the couple that the public wanted with a high level of electability.

"The determination (Anies) is in line with the aspirations of all Democrat Party cadres and most of the people who are reflected in the results of various survey institutions. Where to place the Anies-AHY pair, the most wanted by the public with the highest electability," explained Kamhar.
