NasDem Candidate Anies Baswedan, Democrat Incar Cawapres Position For AHY

JAKARTA - The Democratic Party welcomes the decision of the NasDem Party which has declared Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2024. Democrats consider Anies worthy of being juxtaposed with their general chairman, Agus Yudhoyono (AHY).

For Democrats, Anies' determination as a presidential candidate is a continuation of the NasDem Party National Working Meeting which recommends three candidate names. Democrats respect the aspirations of the majority of NasDem cadres who have chosen Anies more than the other two candidates, namely General Andika Perkasa and Ganjar Pranowo.

"For us, Mas Anies is the right and right figure. In addition to having his leadership tested in carrying out the mandate of the people who have advanced Jakarta, he has also succeeded in becoming a leader with high standards of democracy and leadership, who has succeeded in fulfilling and fulfilling his campaign promises," said Deputy for Election Winning Agency (Bappilu) DPP Democratic Party, Kamhar Lakumani, to VOI, Tuesday, October 4. The Democratic Party, continued Kamhar, had no problem running Anies as a presidential candidate in 2024 if later his party would form a coalition with NasDem and PKS. Although there is no longer any opportunity for Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to become a presidential candidate, the general chairman can be proposed as vice president to accompany Anies.

"This determination is in line with the aspirations of all Democrat Party cadres and most of the people who are reflected in the results of various survey institutions.
