Investigate The Alleged Corruption Of BUMDes Berjo, The Karanganyar Kejari Checks 8 Witnesses

Central Java - The Karanganyar District Attorney (Kejari) examined eight witnesses related to the alleged corruption case of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Berjo in Berjo Village, Ngargoyoso District. The total state loss from the alleged corruption reached Rp1.16 billion.

Head of the Special Criminal Section of the Karanganyar Kejari Tubagus Gilang Hidayatullah, explained that the alleged corruption case of BUMDes Berjo had ensnared suspect S as the active Head of Berjo Village and EK, former director of BUMDes Berjo.

"We have summoned four witnesses for questioning at the Kejari Office this Tuesday, bringing a total of 8 witnesses," said Tubagus Gilang in Karanganyar, Central Java (Central Java), Tuesday, October 4.

The four witnesses who were questioned included the Berjo Village Consultative Body (BPD), BUMDes, and local village officials.

Examination to explore related to evidence to strengthen the trial in court later. "The two suspects, both S and EK, have now been detained and placed at the Karanganyar Police Station," said Tubagus.

He said his party had not yet determined regarding the other suspects in the alleged BUMDes Berjo corruption case.

Previously, the Karanganyar Kejari named two suspects in the alleged corruption case of BUMDes Berjo and will conduct a case title.

In the last two months, the Karanganyar Kejari has been working on a marathon conducting investigations, including examining witnesses and two experts. From the results of the examination, it can be concluded that two people as suspects with two pieces of evidence have a state loss of around Rp. 1.16 billion.

The Karanganyar Kejari then summoned the two suspects in the alleged corruption case of BUMDes Berjo to undergo an examination and then immediately arrested them.
