NasDem Declaration Of Anies Candidate 2024, Gerindra DKI: Stay On Pak Prabowo In The Presidential Election

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the DKI Gerindra Party, Ahmad Riza Patria, views that the NasDem Party's move to nominate Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate (candidate) is a natural thing.

According to the Deputy Governor of DKI, the announcement of the 2024 presidential election is the right of all political parties. What is clear is that Riza emphasized that Gerindra will still carry the General Chairperson, Prabowo Subianto, as the 2024 presidential candidate.

"If the NasDem Party carries Mr. Anies as a presidential candidate, that is the right of the NasDem Party. Each party has the same right to carry anyone. My party, the Gerindra Party, has agreed to nominate Pak Prabowo as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election," Riza told reporters, Tuesday, October 4.

Riza also had no problem with the declaration that when Anies' term of office as Governor of DKI Jakarta was not over. Neither Anies nor himself, who has a different political stance, will continue to carry out their duties to lead Jakarta until October 16.

"He as Governor, I as Deputy Governor, carry out tasks in accordance with the existing RPJMD. Just like the previous ones, Pak Anies and Pak Sandi carried out their duties, the program's visions and missions that were campaigned for were in accordance with the RPJMD," said Riza.

For information, the NasDem Party appointed Anies Baswedan as the 2024 presidential candidate. The declaration was delivered at NasDem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta on Monday, October 3.

"The choice of the NasDem presidential candidate is the best of the best. This is how nasdem finally gave a figure, Anies Baswedan," said the chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, in front of Anies Baswedan.

Surya said Anies was the best person. So, there is no reason for the NasDem Party not to nominate it. "Why Anies Baswedan? The answer is, why not the best," he said.

Responding, Anies admitted that he was ready to become a presidential candidate promoted by the NasDem Party. Anies believes that his advancement as a presidential candidate will serve him. Therefore, the former Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) will continue to strive.

"We accept Bismillah, we are ready. By asking for all prayers, God willing, this long journey will not be a tough journey but a light journey. We prepare this effort as worship," said Anies.
