JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it did not want to rush to summon Papua Governor Lukas Enembe. They do not want enforcement efforts to have a detrimental impact that disrupts security stability.

"There is a risk that we must calculate there. We must not let the KPK take action to cause excesses that we do not want," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata to reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 4.

To force him to rush, continued Alex, of course it is not a difficult matter, especially since the KPK has received assistance from relevant law enforcement officers. However, persuasive steps are put forward first.

"Of course it is not a difficult problem to take force by mobilizing all forces," he said.

Furthermore, the KPK understands that Lukas is now still sick. However, Alex asked for proof through medical records.

In addition, Lukas must also be examined according to the existing records. "Based on the medical record, there is an obligation or a doctor's note that the person concerned must be examined immediately in a certain period of routineity, of course that is our consideration at the KPK," he said.

However, Alex asked Lukas to come to Jakarta to be precise from the KPK's Red and White Building. The goal, so that a thorough examination can be carried out.

Moreover, the KPK doubts that Lukas must be checked for his health abroad. The reason is that many doctors in the country are also qualified.

"I say that in Indonesia there are also no less doctors who are experts in this field. At the RSCM there are great doctors gathered, including at the RSPAD," said Alexander.

As previously reported, the KPK has named Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe as a suspect in alleged corruption. The case that ensnared him has not been detailed.

Lukas will actually be questioned on Monday, September 26 at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. However, this examination failed because he admitted to being sick and could not provide information.

Furthermore, the anti-corruption commission will return to make summons. However, it has not been revealed when this will be implemented. Lukas was only asked to cooperate in fulfilling the investigator's summons. The KPK said the information was urgently needed to make light of the alleged corruption that occurred.
