PSI: The Ganjar-Yenny Wahid Pair Is The Best Combination For The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) announced the name of Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate (candidate) to be supported in the 2024 presidential election from his party. Ganjar was chosen after the PSI management asked the public directly regarding the figure of the presidential candidate he would choose in the upcoming election. "From the results of the people's breakthrough, we announce that PSI will nominate Pak Ganjar Pranowo as PSI 2024 presidential candidate," PSI Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Grace Natalie said at a press conference online, Monday, October 3. While the name of the vice presidential candidate (Cawapres), PSI supports the daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia KH Abdurrahman Wahid, Zannuba Ariffah Chafsoh or Yenny Wahid, to accompany Ganjar Pranowo. "As for the Vice Presidential Candidate, PSI chose Zannuba Ariffah Chafsoh Wahid or familiarly called Mbak Yenny Wahid," he continued. Grace assesses Yenny has qualified personal qualities. As an Islamic woman figure, he said, Yenny Wahid was respected for his thoughts and contributions in social movements. "As the son of a figure who is highly respected by PSI, namely Gus Dur, Yenny we know consistently in continuing Gus Dur's struggle in the ideals of realizing a just and tolnerable Indonesia," he said. Therefore, PSI stated that the combination of Ganjar - Yenny is very suitable to be supported in the 2024 presidential election. PSI assessed that both of them were able to continue Jokowi's leadership - Maruf Amin and bring Indonesia to a fair and tolerant country. "We consider the combination of Ganjar Pranowo-Yenny Wahid, we consider the best combination to continue national leadership. This is a couple that PSI will encourage to become presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024, to realize Indonesia as a just and tolerant country," said Grace. PSI Orders All Cadres to Start Campaigning Ganjar - Yenny PSI Secretary General Dea Tunggaesti, instructed all cadres to start campaigning for the Ganjar Pranowo - Yenny Wahid pair as PSI vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election. "We instruct all cadres, administrators, DPP, DPW, DPD to come down to the community from now on. We are campaigning for Ganjar Pranowo and Ms. Yenny Wahid to the community. They are the best choice for all of us in 2024," said Dea on the same occasion. "God willing, PSI's choice is in accordance with the people because the candidates we support are proven to love all Indonesian people, have never been involved in identity politics and understand young people," he added.
