Peras Calon Siswa Polri Rp200 Million, Brigadier Bagas Ray Menewarkan Polda Sultra

JAKARTA - Police Brigadier One (Briptu) Bagas Ray was fired or sentenced to dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) due to being subjected to a hand arrest operation (OTT) for accepting prospective officers from the National Police.

Head of Profession and Security Division (Kabidpropam) of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Kombes Prianto Teguh explained that the decision was based on the results of the Police's professional code of ethics trial in the Profession and Security Sector (Bidpropam) of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, Wednesday, September 28 yesterday.

"We have tried it. The person concerned violated the police professional code of ethics which attracted the attention of the leadership that there was no broker, the police came to pay," said Kombes Prianto Teguh in Kendari, Friday, September 30.

The individual member who served in the Human Resources Bureau (HR) of the Southeast Sulawesi Police was proven to have committed a disgraceful act and tarnished the good name of the Polri institution.

Brigadier BR was caught in a sting operation (OTT) asking for and receiving some money from a prospective student (casis) participating in the recruitment of members of the National Police in 2022.

"It is proven that he did that. What is clear is that the actions committed were despicable and PTDH was sentenced," he asserted.

Prianto revealed that this case had been rolling since June 2022 when the arrest operation (OTT) against Brigadier Bagas at his home with evidence of Rp200 million.

"Initially we received a report. We arrested the person concerned at his house. The evidence was around Rp. 200 million from a chassis. The chassis (who gave the money) we disqualified," said Prianto.

Apart from Brigadier Bagas, continued Prianto, there were other individuals involved in similar cases related to allegations of accepting bribes when receiving the 2022 Police Bintara cassis.

It is known that the person concerned is the head of Bripka with the initials I who served in the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police's Medical and Health Division (Dokkes).

"So, two people, namely Briptu BR and Bripka I. For Bripka I, an examination has been carried out, they have not been tried," said Prianto.
