JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD expressed his appreciation to the National Police and the Attorney General's Office (AGO) for working hard in handling the Ferdy Sambo Cs case.

"Alhamdulillah, the Attorney General's Office has stated that the case file for the murder of Brigadier Joshua or the Sambo case is complete (P21). Involving 5 suspects in premeditated murder and 7 suspects for obstruction of justice," Mahfud MD said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Thursday, September 29.

"We appreciate the Police and the AGO who have worked hard, but remain thorough and professional," he continued.

Mahfud also appreciated the National Police who also processed the violation of the code of ethics in the case.

"The National Police simultaneously not only handles the crime, but also processes the code of ethics, while the AGO carefully examines the completeness of the requirements. Let's continue to monitor it so that it is good until the end," he said.

Mahfud emphasized that the completeness of the Sambo case file is proof that there is no back and forth process between the Attorney General's Office and the National Police.

"Like I said, not going back and forth from the Prosecutor's Office to the Police. Only going back and forth once immediately," said Mahfud.

In line with Mahfud's affirmation, the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum) of the AGO Fadil Zumhana also emphasized that effective coordination was established between the prosecutor's office and the National Police.

"The coordination relationship between investigators and the public prosecutor, the coordination relationship between Kabareskrim and Jampidum runs effectively, so that so far the case files have been going back and forth, we don't have to go back and forth," Fadil emphasized to reporters in the lobby of the Jampidum building, South Jakarta, Wednesday, September 28.

The fulfillment of the completeness of the file instructions has been carried out based on effective coordination and consultation between investigators and prosecutors, so that yesterday, on Wednesday, September 28, Jampidum stated that the Ferdy Sambo case file was complete and would soon be tried.

"Formil and material requirements have been met," said Fadil explaining.
