SUKABUMI - The Sukabumi City Government in West Java Province has brought order and fostered clownes who usually act on the streets. Residents often complain of clown acts on the streets disrupting vehicle traffic and causing accidents. "We are taking this step because there are many reports that come from residents, especially motorists, who feel disturbed by the presence of street clowns because they interfere with the flow and have the potential to cause accidents," said Sukabumi Mayor Achmad Fahmi in Sukabumi, Antara, Wednesday, September 27. Social Service and Police officers from the Sukabumi City Civil Service fostered clownes who were caught in controlling operations on the road and appealed to road users not to give them money. During coaching, clowns are given the understanding that their actions on the streets can threaten the safety of themselves and others. Head of the Sukabumi City Social Service, Punjul Saepul Hayat, said that the number of clownes on the streets was increasing because people thought the action was an easy way to get money. In order to prevent clowns from acting on the streets, he said, the Social Service carried out control and guidance to help residents who used to be clowns start a business. "We do outreach activities such as control to take them out of the road life cycle and live a better life," he said.
