2 Months Escape, Construction Worker Arrested Project Tool Thief in Denpasar

DENPASAR - A construction worker with the initials IGM (51) was arrested by a team from the North Denpasar Police, Denpasar, Bali, for stealing cellphones and project tools where he works in Tonja Village.

"The perpetrator admitted that he took the victim's (boss) property", said Head of Public Relations of Denpasar Police Iptu I Ketut Sukadi, Tuesday, September 27.

The perpetrators stole tools and cellphones in the early hours of July 23. The items stolen included a DCA concrete drill set, a Bosch grinder, and a 450 W welding transformer.

It turned out that the perpetrators also stole two cell phones belonging to other workers. The victim of the project owner also reported this incident to the police. "With this incident, the victim suffered a loss of IDR 5,479,000 and immediately reported it to the North Denpasar Police", he added.

From the investigation, the police arrested the perpetrator in Negara, Jembrana Regency on Tuesday, September 20.

"The perpetrator admitted that he had taken items from the project where he worked", continued Sukadi.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of 5 years.
