Update On COVID-19 As Of November 29: Print Records, New Cases Reach 6,267

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of Sunday, November 29. As a result, of the 42,903 specimens examined, 6,267 new cases of COVID-19 were added.

This figure is the highest number ever recorded by the Ministry of Health. Previously, the number of additional cases of COVID-19 often ranged from 5,000 to 5,500 cases.

"Based on the examination of 42,903 specimens, 6,267 new cases were recorded, so the total accumulation reached 534,266 cases," he was quoted as saying in a written statement from the Ministry of Health, Sunday, November 29.

Meanwhile, the number of patients who were declared cured of COVID-19 reached 3,810 people with the accumulated figure reaching 445,793.

"For patients who died reached 169 people with a total accumulation of 16,815," said the Ministry of Health.

Regarding the current positivity rate, it is still in the range of 14.1 percent. This means, Indonesia cannot be said to be safe from the spread of this virus because the World Health Organization (WHO) standard is at or below five percent.

Meanwhile, the number of suspects currently has reached 70,792 people.

For the province with the highest number of cases added was Central Java with 2,036 cases which displaced DKI Jakarta which had an additional case of 1,431 cases.

Next, East Java Province recorded an additional 412 cases, West Sumatra 273 cases, and West Java recorded 228 cases.

Based on this data, all provinces in Indonesia reported additional cases of COVID-19. However, there were four provinces that experienced additional cases under 10, namely Papua, West Sulawesi, West Papua, and North Maluku.

Meanwhile, for the number of provinces that reported the highest number of recovered cases were DKI Jakarta with 814 cases, West Java 770 cases, Central Java 760 cases, East Java 287 cases, and Central Kalimantan 196 cases.
