PAPUA - Papuan religious figure Pastor Alberth Yoku reminded Papua Governor Lukas Enembe of responsibility to God.
"Whoever we are from any religion, we are taught to fear God in carrying out our responsibilities in serving the general public," he said in a written statement in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, September 25.
The affirmation, he said, was a manifestation of the oath of office based on the religion held by each public official.
"Every person is taken the oath of office on the holy book, it means that there is God's hand participating in the oath of office," he asserted.
Alberth made this statement regarding the absence of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe from an examination call by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"What is happening to the current governor of Papua, both regents, mayors in Papua and throughout Indonesia, should be willing to take responsibility for what he has done, fulfill the KPK's summons, follow the applicable legal corridors. A public official must be proactive and responsible for what he has done," he asserted.
He stated that the proactive attitude and cooperation with law enforcement enforcement is a step towards solving problems. The law is also a way of proving that the accusations that are already known to the public are not true.
Even if it is true, then the consequences must also be carried out as a wise attitude in carrying out responsibilities.
Pastor Alberth Yoku added that the law will put someone in a right and wrong position. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe moving forward with courage, declaring the truth and honesty, in the name of God.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has sent a second summons to Papua Governor Lukas Enembe (LE) to be questioned as a suspect at the KPK's Red and White Building, Jakarta, Monday.
"Yes, the information we have obtained is true that a summons as a suspect has been sent by the KPK investigation team. The examination is scheduled for Monday, September 26, 2022, at the KPK's Red and White Building," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in Jakarta, Thursday.
Ali said previously Lukas Enembe did not attend the KPK's summons to be examined in his capacity as a witness on Monday last week.
"This is the second summons, where previously the person concerned was summoned as a witness to attend on September 12, 2022, but confirmed that he could not attend," said Ali.
The KPK hopes that Lukas Enembe will cooperate by attending the summons of the investigative team on the second call.
Previously, Aloysius Renwarin, as the lawyer for Lukas Enembe, confirmed that his client had received a second summons from the KPK. "Yes, the summons has been received on 26 (September)," said Renwarin in his statement on Wednesday, September 21.
