Degree Cycling For Blue Sky And Road Safety, Kakorlantas Polri Invites Communities To Be Safe And Ordered Traffic Rules

JAKARTA - The Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police Inspector General of Police Firman Shantyabudi invites the public to ride safe bicycles through the "Cycling For Blue Sky and Road Safety" program.

"The message that Korlantas wants to convey and disseminate to the public is that this bicycle is a safe vehicle on roads and traffic," he said in a written statement quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 25.

While cycling, Firman and his staff wore white sports clothes that read "Cycling for Road Safety" and pictures of traffic signs. Through these t-shirts, Kakorlantas wants to socialize traffic rules to the public, such as being prohibited from parking carelessly to comply with traffic signs.

He explained that safe cycling uses bicycle-specific safety tools, and must be fully installed while cycling.

"Everything must be installed to realize safe cycling to its destination and not harm yourself and others," he said.

He stated that bicycles are environmentally friendly vehicles because they do not use fuel that causes air pollution. The Korlantas Polri will continue to educate the public to be aware of environmental cleanliness.

"Kor then committed to educating the public to control and prevent air pollution while realizing environmental awareness behavior," he emphasized.

In addition to inviting the public to use bicycles, the Korlantas Polri also held a booster vaccination for members and the general public at the Djayusman Building, Korlantas Polri, South Jakarta. This activity was carried out to encourage people who had not been vaccinated.

"We are providing vaccines for people who have not received the first, second vaccine, including the new booster. It is targeted that today we will prepare 250 doses of vaccine," he said.
