SAR Team Find The Body Of A Man Dried By River Currents

JAKARTA - The joint SAR team of South Sulawesi managed to find a kernet of truck drivers carrying river currents in Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi on the second day of the search, Saturday.

Saha (14), a kernet of truck drivers who were reported to have been carried away by the current in the Bela Riase River, Pitu Riase District, Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi, was found dead.

The victim was previously reported to have been carried away by the current while washing his car on the banks of the river. The victim's sandals accidentally washed away, and tried to be achieved. But unfortunately, the swift current made the victim swept away and drowned.

"It happened Friday at around 17.30 WITA, the victim tried to grab his sandals that were washed away but was swept away by the current," said Djunaidi as Head of the South Sulawesi Basarnas Office in Makassar, quoted by Antara, Sunday.

The incident was reported by the Sidrap BPBD and immediately responded to the South Sulawesi Basarnas by deploying personnel at the Sar Parepare Alert Unit Post to help carry out the search.

After diving and sweeping around the LKK, the second day the search for victims was found at around 13.30 WITA and immediately evacuated to the Barukku Sidrap Health Center to be handed over to the family.

"Today the team conducted dives and sweeps around the location of the victim reportedly carried away by the current before finally being found about 10 meters from the LKK," said Djunaidi.

For this incident, the Head of the South Sulawesi Basarnas Office expressed his condolences and appeals to the public to remain vigilant and pay attention to his safety when he is active around the river.

"Hopefully this incident will be a concern so that people who are active around the river continue to pay attention to their safety and do not ignore the potentially dangerous conditions around them," Djunaidi hoped.
