JAKARTA - The National Capital Infrastructure Development Task Force (IKN) of the Archipelago has prepared the construction of a multi-utility tunnel or MUT. Later, it can accommodate all water pipeline networks up to power lines and fiber optics in IKN.

Head of the IKN Implementation Task Force Area Implementation Division, Didiet Arief Akhdiat said, at IKN there will be no more cable networks installed above the ground surface.

"We will build a multi-utility tunnel. With the MUT, the network starts from clean water pipes, fiber optic cables, and power lines are all built in this anniversary," said Didiet in an online seminar monitored in Jakarta, Saturday, September 24, quoted from Antara.

The IKN Development Implementation Task Force itself already has several design plans related to the MUT facility.

Later in the anniversary, when there is a network that must be repaired or replaced, the repair technician just needs to enter the anniversary to make repairs.

This MUT infrastructure will also be controlled and supervised by a kind of control room, so that it can detect damage and leakage that occurs in the MUT.

Previously, based on the Attachment II of Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning IKN regarding the IKN Main Plan, it was stated that the development and development of the State Capital Area or IKN would combine three urban concepts, namely a city of forests, a city of sponges, and an intelligent city.

The basic principles of regional development in IKN itself are based on eight principles of IKN development that prioritize nature, technology, and environmental sustainability.

IKN planning is lined with a sustainable concept to balance the ecology of nature, the environment is built and the social system is harmonious.

In addition, the basic principles of IKN development also maintain the possibility of bad impacts of urbanization and extreme weather that can increase the risk of disasters, such as flooding and lack of raw water.
