JAKARTA - An intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) RS-28 Sarmat carries a maneuvering warhead, said CEO of the Bureau of Design Makeyev JSC ( Roscosmos affiliate) Vladimir Degtyar, to TASS.

"Sarmat is equipped with the most advanced maneuver warhead," said Degtyar, launching TASS September 22.

It is said, the missile is unique in terms of its unrivaled speed. In addition to its record-breaking range, it has the highest accuracy and complete immunity when it penetrates an anti-missile defense system.

Degtyar said the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile would be able to leave silo under any circumstances.

"In accordance with its current characteristics, the missile will leave the silo in any condition and fulfill its duties with 100 percent certainty. This is what the reliability margin is like," said Degtyar.

In June, he said the silo for Sarmat was a complex engineering structure that ensured missile security against attacks with high-precision and nuclear conventional weapons.

Degtyar described Sarmat as "a peak achievement" in rocket technology achieved by the Makeyev center, in collaboration with a group of subordinate companies.

This latest missile system will reliably guarantee Russia's security from external threats over the next 40-50 years, Degtyar said.

"In the current detrimental geopolitical conditions, it is our shield that cannot be penetrated, the main factor is nuclear prevention and peace guarantees," he explained.

Degtyar remembers, Sarmat will replace the Voyevoda system, which was recipated in the Soviet Union era.

The new missile, he stressed, is not analog, but a new generation of ICBM with colossal performance characteristics.

"That's why it has been dubbed a 'fake of engineering' and 'capacity of the peak in rocket technology,' Degtyar said.

It is known, ICBM Sarmat was developed at the JSC Makeyev Design Bureau and produced at the Krasmash factory (both are Roscosmos affiliates). According to experts, the SAR-28 Sarmat ICBM hospital is capable of sending up to 10 tons of MIRV to any point in the world.
