JAKARTA - The National People's Defenders Movement (GNPR) will hold a demonstration against the increase in fuel oil prices (BBM) in the Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta. The police are diverting traffic flow so that the protest action does not interfere with activities around the location.

"Directorate of Traffic PMJ has diverted traffic flow in the context of expressing opinions around the State Palace on Jalan Merdeka Barat, West Jakarta," wrote the Instagram account @tmcpoldametro quoted by VOI, Friday, September 23.

In the scheme that has been prepared, later the traffic flow from the HI Roundabout to Jalan Merdeka Barat will be diverted to Jalan Budi Kemuliaan or Jalan Merdeka Selatan.

Then, the vehicle bound for Tugu Tani to Jalan Merdeka Utara was diverted to Jl Perwira. However, this flow diversion is situational.

Vehicles from Hayam Wuruk Street to Majapahit Street or North Merdeka Street were diverted to Juanda Street or to Suryopranoto Street.

Then, the traffic flow from Abdul Muis Street to Gajah Mada Street was diverted to Tanah Abang Satu Street.

With the diversion of traffic flow, the public is asked not to pass around the location of the action.

"We are advised road users to look for other alternative routes," he wrote.

For information, the GNPR plans to hold a demonstration at 13.00 WIB. Their action is related to the refusal to increase the price of fuel oil (BBM).
