"The Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Team, assisted by the Sumedang Police, succeeded in arresting the convict in a corruption case in Kepahiang Regency," said Heri in Bengkulu City, Antara, Thursday, September 22. The convict was caught in a criminal case of corruption in the irregularity of the land acquisition budget where the final processing (TPA) of waste was carried out in the general government of the Kepahiang Regency secretariat in 2014. "Then in 2017 the Kepahiang District Attorney determined that the convict was included in the DPO and today the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office managed to arrest AJ in his garden in West Java Province," he said. During his escape, the convict changed his identity and remarried to a resident of Sumedang Regency. In addition, the convict also changed his profession as a farmer and owned a garden, this was done by the convict to trick the officers. He said, the convict fled since the corruption case was still under investigation so that the trial was carried out in a absence or trial without the presence of the convict. At the trial, the convict was sentenced to one year and nine months and before serving his sentence at Bentiling Prison Bengkulu City, the convict would undergo a medical examination. "In this case, the convict has returned the value of the corrupted budget, which is Rp. 668 million," said Heri.
