The statement was made in response to the proposal of a number of junior high school principals in Mataram City, to ask Disdik to issue a circular ban on students bringing cellphones to school. The consideration is that students are feared to open other sites that are not in accordance with their age, so they must be strictly controlled. Yusuf admitted, along with the current sloping of the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of cellphones for teaching and learning activities is no longer used because the learning process is focused on PTM. "We received these complaints from a number of school principals, for example at SMPN 1, SMPN 2, and SMPN 15, while other schools have not," he said.
