KARAWANG - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, asked the Modern Rice Milling Plant (MRMP) unit built by Bulog in Karawang, West Java to continue to absorb the produce of farmers around this area.

The rice processing system in modern technology-based MRMP consists of a dryer and a rice milling unit (RMU) as a grain conversion machine into rice equipped with color sorting technology (color sorter).

"One MRMP Bulog unit such as the one in Karawang is equipped with a drying engine with a capacity of 120 tons/day, RMU with a capacity of 6 tons/hour and 3 units of SILO with a capacity of 2,000 tons," explained Budi Waseso.

The investment progress of the MRMP project in Karawang is ready to operate in October 2022. This project will be used for processing infrastructure activities for the manufacturing of the economy in Perum Bulog.
