JAKARTA - Director of PT Diratama Jaya Mandiri Irfan Kurnia Saleh will be tried in connection with the alleged corruption in the procurement of the AW-101 Helicopter by the Indonesian Air Force (AU). Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have completed the case file and submitted it to the prosecutor.

"The team of prosecutors has received the surrender of the suspect and evidence from the investigative team for the suspect IKS (Irfan Kurnia Saleh) because the completeness of the contents of the case files from the examination results of the prosecutor's team is fulfilled and fulfilled," said Head of the News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, September 21.

Irfan will then undergo detention for 20 days until October 9 at the KPK Detention Center at the Red and White Building. Now the suspension is under the authority of the prosecutor.

Meanwhile, the prosecutor will immediately transfer the files and charges to the Corruption Court (Tipikor).

"The transfer of case files and indictments will be carried out by the prosecutor team within 14 working days to the Corruption Court," said Ali.

As previously reported, the KPK detained Irfan in the corruption case in the procurement of the AW-101 Helicopter. He is suspected of making the state lose up to Rp224 billion from the value of the procurement contract which reached Rp738.9 billion.

Irfan is suspected of committing a number of frauds in the procurement. Among other things, accepting a payment of 100 percent of the contract value.

In fact, there are several types of jobs that do not match specifications such as not installing cargo doors and the number of seats on helicopters that are not appropriate.

For his actions, Irfan is suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph 1 or Article 3 of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

In this case, the KPK encountered obstacles to examining the former KSAU Agus Supriatna. KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto wants his subordinates to immediately ask for information from Agus. The goal is that the case of alleged corruption in procurement within the Indonesian Air Force can be investigated thoroughly.

"The point is, if it is possible to get information as soon as possible, it has been completed. For me, there is no conflict there, come here. There is no need for that," he said.

Through his attorney, Agus continued to dodge so as not to attend. His attorney, Teguh Samudra, said that the call to his client was not in accordance with the rules. The KPK should first ask for permission from the institution from Agus.

He argued that Agus was being investigated regarding the alleged corruption that occurred while he was in office. Thus, the summons must be known to the TNI.
