This Afternoon, The Police Explain The Progress Of The Case For Alleged Violations Of The Princess Rizieq Shihab's Marriage Process

JAKARTA - The Head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran, emphasized that he would convey all developments in the handling of cases of suspected health protocol violations (prokes) at the wedding of Rizieq Shihab's daughter this afternoon.

"Later this afternoon it will be released at Polda (Polda Metro Jaya)," said Fadil to reporters, Friday, November 27.

However, he did not explain the purpose of the progress in handling the case. In fact, when asked about the development regarding the determination of a suspect, Fadil was reluctant to respond.

"Later, later in the afternoon," he said.

Previously, the status of cases of alleged violations of this prokes had been upgraded from investigation to investigation. This is based on the results of the case title which found elements of criminal offenses.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombea Yusri Yunus, said that mass activities in Petamburan were deemed to have violated Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine.

"According to investigators, this has been able to move up to the level of investigation. That means there is an element of criminal action," said Yusri.

That way, future investigators will find other evidence in the case. Investigators are looking for evidence by examining a number of witnesses. But it is not yet certain when the examination will be and who will be examined.

"We will call other witnesses again. But this is just a follow-up plan in the future, we'll just wait," he said.

The alleged violation of the health protocol was caused by a crowd during the wedding of Rizieq Shihab's daughter in the Petamburan area, Central Jakarta, on November 14.

The crowd of supporters of Rizieq gathered because they wanted to participate in the event. Especially at the same time the Prophet's birthday activities were also held. But many of them do not implement health protocols such as wearing masks and keeping their distance.
