Police Arrest Home Robber Specialist Pandava Group In West Jakarta, Some Fight With Badik

JAKARTA - The West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit has arrested five members of the Pandawa Group who specialize in robbing houses in a quiet environment, one of which is Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

The perpetrators arrested were JF alias Pandawa, FH, S, RH and MAG. They were arrested in separate locations.

"They are recidivists, and some have just left prison and are repeating their actions," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Audie S Latuheru as quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 26.

Audie explained that some of the perpetrators were recidivists with the same case. In fact, the five perpetrators were apparently related to the same case in 24 crime scenes, one of which was in Cengkareng which occurred on 12 November.

"They claim to be surveyors of the land. There are also those who claim to be COVID-19 officers, ”said Audie.

Meanwhile, the Head of West Jakarta Metro Police Reskrim, Police Commissioner Teuku Arsya Khadafi, said that the Pandawa Group had been poorly involved in the crime.

"The perpetrators did not hesitate to injure the victim, because every action they took was armed with sharp weapons," said Arsya.

Arsya said the suspects FH and M had fought the officers with badik and fled when they were arrested. The police were forced to shoot both legs.

During 2020, the five actors carried out their actions in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi. The five perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code of theft with weight.

Previously, one of the houses at Jln RR Number 4 RT 06/04 Cengkareng Barat, West Jakarta, was attacked by five people pretending to be urban village officers on Thursday, November 12.

The victim, named Intje Al Tjhin Tjauw Liang, admitted that the perpetrator rode three motorbikes. The victim admitted that he lost 10 grams of gold bars and Rp. 7 million in cash. The incident went viral on social media because CCTV surveillance cameras recorded the appearance of the perpetrators.
