COVID-19 Update as of September 19: New Cases 1,620, Active Cases Drop to 26,065

JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 61,343 specimens were examined with the results of 1,620 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,410,426 and active cases have fallen by 1,793 to 26,065 cases", said Task Force data, Monday, September 19.

Today's recovered cases increased by 3,390 cases, bringing the total to 6,226,446 recovered people. Then, 23 positive confirmations died and the total was 157,915 people.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 626 cases and a total of 1,417,626 cases. Followed by West Java with 313 new cases with a total of 1,176,208 cases. Banten has 172 new cases and a total of 335,295 cases. Then, East Java with 148 new cases and a total of 602,985 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 1,247 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,135 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 230 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 167 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 108,003,402.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 7.80 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 2,971 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 204,339.563 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 170,949,252. people underwent a second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 62,684,925 and the fourth dose was 554,430. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
