JAKARTA - Police are still investigating the alleged intentional forest fire which was suspected to be the trigger for a series of collisions on the Pejagan-Pemalang toll road at KM 253 in Brebes Regency, Sunday, September 18 yesterday.

"It is still being investigated whether this weeds caught fire or burned," said Director of Traffic and Traffic of the Central Java Police, Kombes Agus Suryoonugroho, Monday, September 19, quoted from Antara.

The forensic laboratory team has been dispatched to the scene. The traffic police have also coordinated with criminal investigation units in an effort to uncover the case.

Meanwhile, to prevent the same thing from happening, he said, the police had coordinated with the toll road management agency to make anticipatory efforts.

Previously, the Head of the AGO, Ketut Sumedana, confirmed that the youngest son of the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) Amir Yanto was one of the victims who died in a series of accidents in Brebes, Central Java.

In addition, Suzuki Ertiga license plate number B-1781-DS, Toyota Calya B-1466-UIK, Daihatsu Xenia B-1301-BK, Mitsubishi Expander H-8538-YP, Chevrolet Spin D-1782-XU, Toyota Innova B-1674-EVM, and a box truck numbered B-9076-UCG.

Joint officers from the police and toll road managers immediately evacuated the lives and vehicles involved in the successive accident.
