AGAM - The Agam Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) arrested dozens of students who were wandering during school hours in Agam Regency, eastern Sumatra Province.
Head of the Tibum-Tranmas Division of the Agam Satpol PP, Yul Amar, said that dozens of students were secured in several public facilities and stalls from various schools.
"It's true, we secured dozens of students who went around during school hours in the eastern Agam area, we secured them at warnets, canteens and public facilities, a total of 48 students," said Yul Amar in Bukittinggi, Antara, Friday, September 16.
According to him, this is in the context of enforcing the Agam Regional Regulation Number 01 of 2020 article 37 concerning students who roam around during school hours.
In detail, the 48 students came from SKB Lasi 16 students, SMA 1 Ampek 1 students, SMK 1 Tilkam 13 students, SMK 1 Baso 3 students, SMA 1 Baso 1 student, and SMA 1 Canduang 14 people.
The students who were caught were taken to the Satpol PP Office in Ampek Angkek District and given guidance in the form of PBB, push up, and spiritual siraman.
"Of course this is our common task in supervising student behavior, we hope this doesn't happen again," he said.
He hopes that there will be coaching provided so that students want to be open to the problems they are experiencing.
"Essentially, juvenile delinquency is caused by family factors, social environment and the influence of TV shows and social media," he said.
He said it was a joint task, namely the government, parents' schools, and the surrounding community to participate in supervising the activities of teenagers around them.
