MKD Stop Effendi Simbolon's Report On Issues Of Disharmoni And The TNI Such As 'Group Of Ormas'

JAKARTA - The House of Representatives' Honorary Court (MKD) has decided not to continue the report against House of Representatives Commission I member Effendi Simbolon regarding the issue of disharmony within the TNI and the statement 'TNI is like a group of mass organizations'. This decision was taken by the MKD after listening to three reporters from mass organizations and the defendants, namely Effendi Simbolon. The results of the meeting which was read by the Deputy Chairperson of the MKD, Habiburokhman, decided that Effendi Simbolon had been present according to the MKD invitation on September 15, 2022. Effendi himself is said to have been present at 13:47 WIB with the agenda of summoning him at 14.00 WIB. The MKD emphasized that in substance Effendi Simbolon's statement during the working meeting of Commission I on September 5, 2022, the issue of disharmony within the TNI was a criticism of building the TNI. "The statement conveyed by Effendi Simbolon has the right to immunity to submit a statement of questions and attitudes in carrying out their duties as stipulated in Article 20a paragraph 3 of the MD3 Law," said Habiburokhman.
