JAKARTA - The West Java Regional Police decided to increase the status of the case for alleged violations of the health protocol (prokes) in Megamendung, Bogor from investigation to investigation. This means that in this case the police will determine the suspect.

"Yes, we have moved to the investigation stage," said Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, Kombes Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago, to reporters, Thursday, November 26.

In this case the police used Article 14 Paragraph 1 and Paragraph 2 of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning infectious disease outbreaks, Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning health quarantine, and Article 216 of the Criminal Code.

Previously, the Director of General Criminal Investigation of the West Java Regional Police, Kombes CH Patoppoi, said that the determination of the status to be an investigation was carried out after his party had conducted a case title and examined 12 people in the context of the investigation since last week.
