KAPUAS HULU - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan, stated that 16 villages from four sub-districts in the local area were hit by floods due to the overflow of the Kapuas River. "A flood disaster in Kapuas Regency, which was affected, there are 16 villages from four sub-districts," said Head of BPBD Kapuas Regency, Panahatan Sinaga in Kuala Kapuas, Antara, Wednesday, September 14. The 16 villages in four sub-districts in the local area were hit by floods, including Kapuas Hulu District, there are four villages, namely Baronang II Village, Sei Hanyu, Supang and Hurung totaling. Pasak Talawang sub-district has 10 villages, namely Jangg Village, Dandang, Escape, Hurung Kambangin, Tumban Tukun, Tumbang Nusa, Tumbang Diring, Sei Ringin, Batu Sambung and Balai Banjang. Then, Central Kapuas District, one village, namely Pujon Village and Mandau Talawang District, one village, namely Jakatan Masaha Village. "Today, the results of checking friends in the field that almost all flood villages are starting to recede," he said. However, he continued, there are still three villages, namely Kaburan Village and Jangka Village, Pasak Talawang District, and Pujon Village, Central Kapuas District, whose water level is 10-20 centimeters. "This means that the condition of people's houses there is no more flooding, only inundated because the regional contours are low," he said. For this reason, his party appealed to the people of Kapuas Regency, especially in upstream areas, to always be alert to the high rainfall. Because there is still a possibility that the rainfall will occur. He admitted that he was still coordinating with related parties, both the sub-district head, village head and local health centers, to anticipate further flooding.
