BANDUNG - Bandung Police are investigating a case of abuse against three students suspected of happening at the Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University (UIN) campus in Bandung, Bandung City, West Java. The Head of the Panyileukan Police, Kompol Dadang Cahyadiawan, said that his party is still searching for the perpetrators. So far, he said, his party has examined a number of witnesses. "Four witnesses have been examined, until now they are still calling witnesses because the perpetrators are still disguised," said Dadang in Bandung, West Java, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, September 14. According to Dadang, the three victims were students from the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication with the initials M, H, and L. From the examination, according to him, they suffered bruises on their faces, heads, and shoulders. The incident allegedly occurred on Tuesday, September 30 evening. The location of the persecution is suspected to be not far from the parking lot of the Adab Faculty and Humanities UIN Bandung. The act of persecution was also recorded in a 21-second video circulating on social media. In the video, it appears that someone is beating a number of students. "So on the 30th of the incident, only on September 1, the victim made a report," said Dadang. Dadang also ensured that the legal process was still being carried out in order to identify the suspect in the persecution case. His party is still deepening the statements of witnesses. He said investigators would also summon security officers at UIN Bandung. According to him, security officers are suspected of knowing the perpetrators of the abuse of a number of students. "From the statements, the witnesses have not been able to show who the suspects are," said Dadang.
