JAKARTA - The account belonging to the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe has been blocked by the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK). The blocking has been carried out since last month.

"Yes (blocked, ed)," said PPATK Head Ivan Yustiavandana in a written statement, Tuesday, September 13.

Ivan did not specify the reason for the blocking. However, he ensured that coordination with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had been carried out.

"We have been coordinating with the KPK since a few months ago," he said.

Previously, Papua Governor Lukas Enembe had been prevented from going abroad for six months until March 2023. This prevention is suspected to be related to allegations of corruption being investigated by the KPK.

Related to this allegation, KPK investigators actually summoned Lukas on Monday, September 12 yesterday to be questioned in Papua. However, he was not present for health reasons.

As for the case being investigated by the KPK in Papua, the KPK has not yet opened its voice. In the era of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri, the determination of suspects is usually conveyed along with attempts to force detention.
