Dozens Of Pastors From Maluku And Ganjar Pranowo Who Learn To Care For Inter-North Tolerance

JAKARTA - The pluralism of the people of Central Java inspired dozens of Pastors from Maluku to learn about tolerance. In the series of meetings, they were met by Governor Ganjar Pranowo.

Ganjar, who had just finished a working visit to Kudus, immediately met the priests who were members of the Maluku Protestant Church (GPM) Synod. They were swept away in talks about leadership and caring for differences in society.

The head of the GPM Synode, Pastor Elifas Tomix Maspaitella, assessed that Governor Ganjar Pranowo had good leadership as imitated in terms of maintaining tolerance among people.

"Why come here, because Central Java is one of the provinces that is very tolerant in 2021-2022. Many cities in Central Java are categorized as tolerant, and the topology is almost the same as in Maluku," he said.

Pastor Elifas also said that they wanted to study leadership with Ganjar, who was considered capable of embracing groups with different thoughts to unite.

"We feel that such a model, we must also understand it," explained Pastor Elifas.

Moreover, in Maluku, he added, there is a long history of caring for tolerance among religious communities, which has been rebuilt until now since the 1999 humanitarian conflict.

"We are grateful to be welcomed by a humble governor, who is very friendly and friendly, and I think we need such an example of leadership," he said.

On that occasion, Pastor Elifas explained, the visit of the GPM Synod Pastors was a series of activities carried out in Central Java. Around 75 priests from Maluku had previously met Central Java's FKUB.

Governor Ganjar Pranowo appreciated the enthusiasm of the priests from Maluku in order to maintain tolerance. Ganjar is happy to be able to share many things in his efforts to maintain differences and tolerance among religious communities in Central Java.

"Actually, my friends from the pastor from Maluku are still studying appeals, how is religious moderation and how is FKUB. Of course I am happy to be able to share stories," Ganjar greeted in his statement, Monday, September 12.

Ganjar also learned many lessons through Pela Gandong. Namely a bond that reflects social respect and a sense of humanity, brotherhood, and kinship in Maluku.

There is one thing that is interesting, these priests will go to the Islamic boarding school, because they will learn how to lead, how to provide assistance to the students they will bring there. This is really fun in my opinion," he said.

Ganjar hopes that the activities carried out by the GPM Sinode Pastors will produce results. They can bring good values about tolerance that can be applied in Maluku.

"Hopefully they will get what they want, and of course we will also learn from their experiences," he said.
